Our Yule Lunacy event will serve as a toy drive for Toys for Tots. Once again we are leveraging the greater purchasing power of non-profit organizations, and instead of collecting toy donations we are asking participants to donate to Toys for Tots via our team fundraising page. Our DSLE team goal is $500, which will bring holiday cheer to children in need.

Bring proof of your donation (a screencap of the receipt page is fine) to the event, and donations of $20 or more will receive (stock is limited, first come first served, while supplies last) a 5mL bottle of THERE AROSE SUCH A CLATTER: Pumpkin egg-nog served in a skull, next to a steaming slab of gingerbread. You will also be able to make donations at the event.

We will be featuring the new Yule update and 17th Anniversary collection, alongside returning stock of the Weenie collection, and activism scents Sustained Boos and Impeachment, benefitting the ACLU, and Peach Chypre, a response to Georgia’s “heartbeat bill,” with proceeds going to Planned Parenthood. Happy harvest, children! Our November Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Atlanta event is Sunday, November 24th, from 5:00–7:00 pm at the Microtel Inn and Suites at Perimeter Center, inside the conference room. The address is: 6280 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328

This month’s perfume party will also serve as a food drive for two local charities, Atlanta Community Food Bank (for people food!) and Kudzu Cat Alliance (pet food!).

Once again we are leveraging the greater buying power of non-profit organizations, and instead of collecting food donations we are asking participants to donate to the Atlanta Community Food Bank via our team fundraising page. Our DSLE team goal is $500. We surpassed that last year and I am sure we can do it again, because BPALers are some of the most generous people out there.

Bring proof of your donation (a screencap of the receipt page is fine) to the event, and donations of $20 or more will receive (stock is limited, first come first served, while supplies last) a 5mL bottle of WHEN THE FROST IS ON THE PUNKIN: Golden amber leaves rustling around a patch of late autumn pumpkins dusted with a cap of glittering, sugar-white snow. You will also be able to make donations at the event.

Kudzu Cat Alliance’s mission is to stabilize community cat populations through a trap-neuter-return (TNR) program, and to educate the public about the benefits of TNR. They collaborate with property owners, residents, local rescues, caregivers, and foster families to identify and serve at-risk community cat colonies. As part of their outreach they supply a Community Cat Food Bank to provide cat food to community cat caregivers who need assistance feeding their colony. You can support their mission by bringing a donation of cat food (dry or wet), or by donating online to their fundraising page. They can also use your old sheets and towels!

This event will also be your chance to help the Lab fight period poverty by raising funds for #HappyPeriod. Once again we are asking for online donations instead of products, and we have a team fundraising page set up so everyone can see exactly how much we raised together. Our Dirty South Lunacy team fundraising goal is set at $500, but we are challenging you to help us beat that number like we did last year. Show us your receipt (on your phone is fine) and for a $20 or more donation* you’ll receive a free bottle of event exclusive Marshmallow Chick Sanguinem Menstruum, while supplies last.

In an effort to keep things fair within the constraints of a limited edition scent we will offer one bottle per person until all attendees have been served. After that stock will be opened up to fairy requests. If we do run out of MCSM, there will be a couple of other scents available so that no one who donates to Happy Period goes home empty-handed.

Tea Party with the March Hare

We’re going down the rabbit hole! Springtime serves as the perfect excuse to explore the wonderland that is BPAL, and this event will provide you with ample opportunity to sniff, sample, and purchase some truly intoxicating perfumes. Please don’t drink them, though!

Alice In Wonderland attire thoroughly encouraged, but not required, because we’re all about minding our own business in 2019: “If everybody minded their own business, the world would go around a great deal faster than it does.”
